The head of Tehran Flower and Plant Sellers Union said: To participate in the extraordinary sales plan, we have asked the trade unions of flower sellers to apply a 10% discount.

Akbar Shahrokhi, head of the Tehran Flower and Plant Sellers Union, said: Although there are legal grounds for exporting flowers, but with the increase of the dollar, today we are witnessing the reverse smuggling of flowers, while some other flowers and plants are also smuggled into the Iranian market.

He continued: The price of flowers is not subject to orders and is determined based on supply and demand. In the past months, we had a severe recession in the flower market, but recently the price has increased by 30-40%. In order to participate in the special sales plan, we have asked the guilds of flower sellers to apply a 10% discount.
