For the perfumery industry, the cultivation of superior types of roses is increasing
The national program for selecting the best variety of mohammady was implemented in line with the cultivation of the best varieties of mohamady.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of Science and Technology, Mohammadi flower is one of the most important agricultural items in the central provinces of the country. Due to the development of the application of this product in the cosmetics, health and perfumery industries, it is expected to develop more upstream industries around the axis of this flower cultivation.
Currently, 24,000 hectares are cultivated with roses. With the plans made, soon another 5 thousand hectares will be cultivated with roses. The Knowledge, Industry and Market Coordination Office of the Presidential Vice President for Science and Technology, as the upstream institution of the knowledge, industry and market coordination centers, has supported the creation of a special center as the Center for the Knowledge, Industry and Market Coordination of Roses and Aromatic Plants.
Considering the planting of different varieties of roses in the country, it was necessary to create a national program to carefully examine all the varieties used in the country and to identify the best varieties.
Based on this, the coordination center for the knowledge, industry and market of roses and aromatic plants, with the cooperation of some institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad and forming a team of researchers and professors in the field of botany, succeeded in implementing a scientific plan in this field. Finally, Gol Mohammadi, Kashan 93 and Yazd 94 cultivars were selected as the best cultivars in the country.
The average yield of Kashan variety 93 is 2533 kg per hectare and it has the potential to yield more than 3 tons and 800 kg per hectare. The average yield of Yazd 94 per hectare is 2857 kg and its yield potential is more than 3 tons and 700 kg.
With the development of the best cultivars of mohammady, the productivity of this plant in the country will increase significantly and due to the increase in the quality of the product, the process of creating factories and technology companies focused on products related to mohammedy will increase.
