Implementation of production jump plan in 6 thousand 100 hectares of dry and irrigated lands of Ardal
The Director of Agricultural Jihad of Ardel city announced the implementation of the production jump plan in 6 thousand 100 hectares of rainfed and irrigated lands of this city.
Vahid Tahmasabi stated: In the current crop year, about 5,500 hectares of the city's lands were registered in the system in the plan to jump production in rainfed fields with the participation of farmers, and this level is for products such as wheat, barley, fodder, dry beans and camellia.
Tahmasabi continued: Farmers were well received in the contract cultivation of wheat, and about 600 hectares of land under water wheat cultivation in this city were registered in the system.
He stated: With the implementation of the mentioned plans, the area of mechanized cultivation in this city has increased by 60% compared to last year, and also by carrying out mechanized cultivation, it prevents soil compaction and preserves soil moisture during drought, preserving the remains of previous cultivation. It prevents soil erosion and ultimately increases yield and produces a higher quality product.
Tahmasabi asked the farmers, producers and operators of the city to carry out this kind of cultivation as much as possible in the lands suitable for mechanized cultivation, considering the importance and great benefits of mechanized cultivation.
He stated: 140 tons of improved wheat and barley seeds and 7 tons of fodder seeds were distributed in the city this year in the plans to increase production in drylands and contract cultivation of wheat, which has increased by 70% compared to last year.
