The cultivation of saffron, "red gold" by the farmer lady Kohgiloye and Boyerahmadi has brought prosperity to the village of "Bimanjgan".

Hamidah Tabesh Nejad: When we move from the ancient land of Baladshapur "Dohdasht" to Darul Mominin "Behbahan", we come across the village "Bi Manjgan" in the middle of the way, and this village is one of the beautiful effects of this route due to its fertile soil and suitable space. It is communication.

"Bimanjgan" is located 15 kilometers from Dehdasht city and has a population of 600 people. The occupation of most of the people is agriculture and animal husbandry, and most of the farmers cultivate the conventional rainfed barley and wheat, but among them there are those who choose other ways to plant agricultural products.

The women of this land always work and strive to follow the men, but this time a lady among them has decided to start a suitable business and income for herself by growing saffron in a certain area.

32-year-old Fariba Bazargan from the village of "Bi Manjgan" said: Since 1400, we have been planting saffron on the level of 2 hectares in the village of "Bi Manjgan".

Bazargan stated his purpose of growing saffron as employment and income generation and said: I started planting this crop with the aim of providing employment and income for myself and to create an incentive for other women to work.

Suleiman Karimi added: Considering the fertility of agricultural land in the city, new ideas in agriculture can create employment and income for women.

He said: This department is ready for any necessary cooperation with this farmer.

Governor Kohgiluyeh said: The experimental plan for autumn saffron cultivation in two hectares of "Bimanjgan" farms has been started since September.

Seyyed Abdulaziz Mousavi stated that it is expected to harvest an average of five kilograms of saffron per hectare of land in the region, in a conversation with the Mehr reporter, he added: Culture building is necessary to change the cultivation pattern in order to create employment for the villagers.

Referring to the first cultivation of this crop in the village, Mousavi stated: the result of this cultivation shows the fertility of the soil and the potential capacities of this city in the agricultural sector.

He added: Optimal cultivation is possible with proper management of water resources and planning and utilization according to experts, and agriculture of this city can be developed at a high level.

Mousavi stated: With proper planning, great steps can be taken for job creation and economic prosperity of farmers and villagers in the region.

Governor Kohgiluyeh pointed out: In order to improve agriculture and respond to new ideas, departments and agencies related to agriculture and job creation should have the necessary cooperation.

He added: Every year, the harvest of saffron starts from the beginning of December and continues until the end of December.
