Karaj - IRNA - The CEO of Iran Water and Soil Engineering Services Company (PARS) stated that the dynamics of the agricultural sector doubles the resilience in fragile climatic conditions, and said: one of the saving and helping factors of agriculture in the upcoming challenges is the use of technologies and innovations.
According to IRNA reporter, Mohammad Mahdi Ghasemi, on Tuesday, during the opening ceremony of the first exhibition of agricultural intelligence, which was held on the sidelines of the first National Agricultural Technical and Engineering Congress, in the conference hall of the country's breeding and seed breeding research institute located in Karaj, added: in the conditions Currently, our country is facing challenges in the water, soil and air sector, and due to the dry and semi-arid climate of Iran, we must increase the productivity of water and soil resources with the help of technology.
He added: Our country has a very diverse nature, but this sector must be transformed by using new tools and technologies in the agricultural sector.
The smart agriculture market will increase up to three times
Ghasemi pointed to the forecasted information in the field of smart agriculture and stated: The world market for smart agriculture was about 12.7 billion dollars in 2021, which is expected to be 22 billion dollars in 2025 and 40 billion dollars in 2030. reach 44 billion dollars.
He said: Basic technologies in the field of remote sensing, Internet of Things, communication technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the existing internet platform should be used to increase the productivity of inputs.
The CEO of the country's water and soil technical and engineering services company added: "We need a certain analysis and control of various production factors in order to use new technologies that reduce production costs and increase profitability."
Ghasemi pointed to the holding of a comprehensive agricultural intelligence exhibition and said: this exhibition was attended by 22 knowledge-based companies that are active in the field of agricultural intelligence in 22 booths.
He added: These companies can cooperate and synergize with promoters, farmers, and researchers to improve achievements and cover the needs of the agricultural sector.
He stated: The agricultural space is very large, pristine and vast, if we want to step in this field, this company supports innovative research projects and we support the achievements that they want to spread in the sector.
