According to the Mehr News Agency, citing the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, Safdar Niazi, Deputy Minister of Water and Soil of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, in a meeting with the secretaries of scientific associations and student organizations of Tehran University's Agriculture and Natural Resources Campus, while emphasizing the necessity of holding such meetings, said: the implementation department should To reach a common literature for interaction and two-way communication with universities and scientific centers.
Niazi said: There is a problem that the university claims that the implementation department does not understand the demands of scientific centers, and in this regard, the two intellectual perspectives of science and implementation should be brought closer together.

Niazi stated that the irrigation efficiency in the whole country has increased from 35% to 46% and said: In the seventh development plan, it is stipulated that 15 billion cubic meters of water consumption in the agricultural sector should be reduced, and to achieve this goal there is no other way than increasing the efficiency, which is done by building The canal, the development of new irrigation systems and other water and soil operations will achieve this.
He said: There are many challenges in agricultural soil, such as soil salinity, change of use and erosion, which must be solved.

Stating that the production of agricultural products has increased from 25 million tons to 130 million tons, he said: All the successes of the agricultural sector are owed to science and we are grateful to the scientific community that has served production.
In the continuation of this meeting, the secretaries of the scientific associations of agricultural fields of Tehran University of Agriculture and Natural Resources presented their topics and issues, and it was decided to hold these meetings systematically for greater communication and effectiveness.
