Ahvaz - Deputy Director of Plant Production Improvement of Khuzestan Agricultural Jihad Organization said: The purchase of wheat from Khuzestan farmers exceeded 1.6 million tons.

According to the report of Mehr reporter, Toraj Nowrozi said in a media interview before noon this Saturday, stating that the harvesting of autumn crops in the province is still going on, and stated: So far, more than 1,600,000 tons of wheat have been purchased from Khuzestan farmers.

Khuzestan Agricultural Jihad Organization's vice president for plant production improvement said: More than 637,217 tons of wheat have been transported and sent from shopping centers to standard silos inside and outside the province.

He also pointed to the purchase of seed wheat in the province and clarified: In addition to the amount of bread wheat purchased in the province, more than 40 thousand tons of seed wheat in different classes have also been purchased from farmers.

Nowrozi said: So far, more than 9 thousand billion tomans have been deposited into the accounts of farmers through bank Amal.

He stated: We hope to be able to do the guaranteed purchase of wheat in excess of farmers' needs as well as in previous years, and Khuzestan province will continue to be the leader in the country's wheat production.
