He added: "Desert production in the country is actually more than 3 times the annual activities to deal with desertification. In this regard, a plan of 3 million hectares of desert has been prepared.

The head of the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization continued to refer to watershed resources for next year: Parliament has approved 300 million euros for watershed activities from the National Development Fund for next year.

Regarding the plan to plant one billion saplings in the country, he stated: This plan will be implemented in different parts of the country based on its supporting document.

In response to criticism about this plan, he said: Pakistan has a plan to plant 10 billion saplings by 2022. Turkey has planted 4.5 billion entities; Saudi Arabia has planted 50 billion saplings with its special weather conditions, and Afghanistan also plans to plant one billion saplings.

The Deputy Minister of Jihad Agriculture said: The country's outflow water can be used for the plan to plant one billion saplings and we have no problem in supplying it.

He stated: A significant part of the trees that are going to be planted should be used for wood cultivation, so that we can supply raw materials for wood factories and reduce the smuggling of wood from the country's forests.

Nobakht stated that there is no problem in supplying the seedlings for this plan and said: It is planned that 300 million saplings will be used for wood cultivation.
