Deputy Director of Coordination of Executive Headquarters of Farman Imam (R.A.) said: The implementation of the plan to increase the production of wetlands at the level of 6 million hectares in 21 provinces of the country is being implemented.

He stated that the production plan in the rainfed areas is supported by the Supreme Leader and stated: According to this plan, at least 6 million hectares of the country's rainfed lands should be cultivated within 5 years, and the amount of implementation was determined each year.

The Vice-President of Coordination of the Executive Headquarters of Farman Imam (RA) stated: In this plan, more than 400,000 farmers have been created to create jobs.

He said: Therefore, in order to adjust the structure of this plan, the National Headquarters was formed to use Note 16 of the Budget Law.

According to him, in this project, the capacity of the National Bank as the executor of the allocation of facilities, the Ministry of Agriculture, the country's irrigation institutes, Jihad Nasr and the Jihadgaran Council have been used.

He added: Recently, due to the scope of the work, 1000 engineers of the agricultural engineering system are used to monitor the implementation of the project.

He stated: Similar to the central national headquarters, it has been formed in provinces and cities.

Sidhashmi said: After 3 years, 4.2 million hectares of land in 17 thousand villages and 1098 villages in 21 provinces of the country have been worked on.

He added: It seems that we will increase production by 1.5 tons per hectare.

He continued: This project was implemented in 6 provinces in the first year, in 15 provinces in the second year, in 21 provinces of the country, and for 2012, about 2 more provinces will be added.

According to him, some provinces such as Tehran and Alborz do not have dry land.

He stated that the rainfed farmers were poor, therefore, by implementing the production jump plan in the drylands, besides preventing them from migrating to the cities, it will increase their income.

The Deputy Coordinator of the Executive Headquarters of Farman Imam (RA) said: Farmers had a problem in terms of insurance premiums, for which a suitable system has been created.

He considered the statistics of the drylands sector to be accurate and added: In this sector, there may be a 13% deviation in the statistics, for example, a farmer has 4 hectares of land, but 3 hectares of land is insured.
