Agricultural organizations should be with the authorities

The CEO of the National Assembly of Agricultural Experts of the country said: The cost of agricultural inputs and tools has become very expensive, and this has caused the production costs in the agricultural sector to rise and agricultural work is not economically profitable. The cost of buying a tractor has become staggering, and on the other hand, the agricultural fuel quota allocated to farmers is not enough and does not meet the needs of farmers. The quota of chemical fertilizers is also low.

In a conversation with Dehghan News, Hossein Kakavand emphasized the need to use the opinions of agricultural organizations and said: Until the representatives of the organizations are with the authorities, the agricultural situation will not be settled. Officials should not make decisions for farmers behind closed doors.

He added: Agricultural organizations are actually farmers themselves and are chosen from among the farmers' community, and if they are with the officials, it is definitely better to make decisions for the farmers. Representatives of agricultural organizations should be with the authorities. The Minister of Agricultural Jihad should also listen to the words of agricultural organizations.

He considered the price announced for the guaranteed purchase of wheat to be low and said: the price of wheat should be at least 20 thousand tomans per kilo to be economical for the farmer because the production costs in the agricultural sector have multiplied.

In the end, the CEO of the National Assembly of Agricultural Experts of the country emphasized that the organizations are seeking to demand the demands of the farmers and said: Our expectation is that they will provide more services to the real farmers of the country so that they are motivated to continue producing.
